The Week’s Media Logic Top 10 Facebook Retailers
Kirkland’s “Cha-Ching!” Sweepstakes Drives Big Liker Growth
Kirkland’s hit the jackpot to win the title of fastest growing brand on Facebook for the week of April 10th. Its “Cha — Ching!” sweepstakes drove almost 29,000 people to like its page. That’s 17.5 percent growth in one week – versus an industry average of less than 2 percent. Kirkland’s cool little tab-based low-lift promo adds 10¢ to a prize total for every like and promises to “empty the register” for one lucky liker after one month. It’s neat to hear the cash register ring with new likers while you are on the page.
In second place was TJ Maxx, which scored almost 64,000 likers and 14 percent growth during the week. It did this with a promo right out of the Media Logic Retail Marketing Report (FREE DOWNLOAD!) playbook – insider info and fashion tips for likers. The classics never go out of style.
Lane Bryant took third with 15,000 new likers and better than 7 percent growth, and it managed the gain by doing almost nothing — just a tab that clearly states the brand’s distinct positioning! Visitors are simply invited to join the “conversation on curvy fashion.”
Rounding out the Media Logic Top 10 Facebook Retailers are OfficeMax, Gander Mountain, Pottery Barn Kids, Walmart, The Home Depot, the back-from-the-dead Burlington Coat Factory (now with more than 33,000 fans) and Sears.
