Concerning the Twinkie Comeback: A Win-Win (and Tasty) Situation

The people have spoken. Back by (truly!) popular demand, a variety of Hostess snack cakes will reappear on store shelves starting July 15. And Hostess wants us to be ready. Right down to the very last second before launch, in fact! The brand’s main site (http://hostesscakes.com) has been converted into a shareable and joinable countdown clock, and its Twitter and Facebook pages are “back online” with large “7.15.13” graphics.

The brand’s new tagline, which will appear on all new boxes of Hostess treats, is already generating buzz: “The Sweetest Comeback in the History of Ever.” Cute, and probably true. After all, who doesn’t love a Twinkie or CupCake? Apparently, lots and lots of people do… and Hostess got the message loud and clear.

We’re not positive who the real winner is here – Hostess or us – but we think it’s fair to say the future will taste pretty good for both.
