Media Logic’s Ultimate Outdoor Team Promotion for Cabela’s Makes Big Splash

There are times to keep things simple, and there are times to go big. For our first social promotion of 2012 with Cabela’s, we all decided that a big splash was in order. How big? How about a 10-day hunting and fishing trip for two in New Zealand? How about the chance to appear on the Outdoor Channel?

But a prize like that you don’t give away to just anyone, so Cabela’s has asked their fans to make the case that they are the Ultimate Outdoor Team. In the last three weeks, we’ve had hundreds of entries from husbands and wives, fathers and daughters and even hunting buddies – each of them posting a few photos and answering four simple questions to help make their case.

We’ve just opened up a voting period so the contestants can share their entries and get friends and family to vote for them. At the end of a month, the 10 teams with the most votes will be judged by members of Cabela’s Pro-Staff who will pick the winner.

Hunting and fishing can be very social activities. You go with a friend. You share stories of what you catch or kill. You brag about being the best at what you do. We’re bringing all of those things together in one promotion, and the team that wins get the ultimate bragging rights, plus a once in a lifetime trip and the chance to be featured on an episode of Cabela’s Ultimate Adventures TV.
